League of Legends Adds New ARAM System to Reroll to Secure Your Champion

The brand-new Patch 14.13 may not have had a lot of things to change for ARAM players — as they clearly stated there were no balance changes for this patch — but there is something that was added: a much-needed Quality of Life update! Here's everything you need to know:

First of all, let's talk about the most exciting thing with this update: there is a New Reroll-to-Bench Cooldown that will allow you to safely donate rerolls to your team without having to worry about your champion being sniped. After originally rerolling, the champion you put in the bench will have a three-second cooldown to every other player in the game, giving you the opportunity to pick it up again.

As a person who alwaysdonates two rerolls to the team before this update was added, this is a much-needed change for bench snipers who would wait to take the most highly wanted champions and refuse to return them. This reduces the need to hoard rerolls for those who get them every game and, instead, gives you the opportunity to ensure better team compositions while still being able to play the champion you have.

Alternatively, it gives the player a bit of a break and the opportunity to choose between the two champions they have, as they'll both be secured for three seconds. You can reroll, see who you got, and decide whether you want to go back to your original champion or keep the new one you got. It's overall a much better system to have and one of the best additions since the Reroll Bench was introduced (though, who could ever say no to the Hex Gates?).

Two other ARAM changes came with 14.13: the first is that we now have the opportunity to buy boots and elixirs in the quick purchase panel to better reflect the Summoner's Rift shop, and the second is that Hullbreaker has returned to the Howling Abyss!

Patch 14.13 is live now to play, and it'll last longer than traditional patches, as Riot will be celebrating their Summer Break, so update 14.14 will arrive on the 17th of July.
