Nintendo DS Games Headed to Wii U Virtual Console

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has announced that the company has overcome certain technical complications to bring Nintendo DS games to the Wii U gamepad via the Virtual Console service.

While no games have been officially announced to be heading to Wii U thus far, Nintendo did illustrate on their official website how the popular DS title Brain Age would function on the gamepad.

This move comes as part of Nintendo's strategy to prioritise the Wii U gamepad and offer a software library that takes full advantage of the hardware available. 

Nintendo have made no comment on when DS games will begin to be available on Wii U.
